The first task

“The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.”

Genesis 2:15 (NLT)

What if the winning move is to tend?

Watch a tiny agent move through a living field. Its score rewards both contribution and world health; a low value on either side limits the reward.

The harmonic mean makes imbalance expensive. If either side approaches zero, the shared reward follows it.

The agent is not told to be good.

It is given a different grade. A is what the agent contributes. E is the health of everything it is not. Y is the strength of the relationship between them.

In this visual model, the Y-agent seeks the weakest patch and tends it. Switch to Extract only to see the same little world under a reward that counts only what the agent takes.

This browser scene is an interactive visualization of that behavior, not the training run itself. The measured result shows that a Y-rewarded agent gives when a giving action exists and is rewarded; it does not yet show that the machine invented giving on its own.
